Bilston Community Centre |
This building now Bilston Community Centre Was originally opened on 28th February 1940 by The Countess of Harrowby and was officially known as the 'Centre Health Clinic' at Wellington Road Bilston. It was clearly intended to provide comprehensive medical care for the Bilston Area and many people still recall it as a medical centre and refer to it as 'The Old Clinic' 75 Years later the postal address is now 1 Prouds Lane no longer Wellington Road. Various activities now take place in the Community Centre, however a few people are under the impression that it is still a Health Centre Such people are gently pointed in the direction of the Current Health Centre accross the road. |
