“Buy it in Bilston” has a Facebook page, website and a Twitter page (@buyitinbilston)to help people who live in Bilston see what goods and services they can get locally in their town. We want them to be able to see what offers and deals are currently available in the town. We are also trying to get people who live near Bilston to come here for their needs rather than going elsewhere. More than anything else, personal recommendation influences people to use a shop or business.
If you live in or near Bilston and wish to support your local businesses, visit the page and tell us which local businesses and shops you patronise and what is good about them. Please tell us who has a good offer on, who gives good service, and who goes the extra mile for their customers. Local business will be able to go on this page and post free adverts. We want to get people who want to set up or move their businesses, to come to Bilston.
The page will be used as a way to give local businesses a way of communicating with their customers, and to help them get feedback so that they can respond to customer needs. If anyone is looking to set up a new business, they can use the page to see what potential customers think of the business. We would like to use the page to show businesses that the local people will support them if they choose to trade in Bilston. The other side of this coin is trying to keep local jobs. We want to use the page to get local businesses to say in a very informal way if they are looking for staff. Any other ideas that are in harmony with these goals will be welcome on the page.
